About
Since my early childhood, I have often looked for an excuse to escape out into the natural world. So when a friend introduced me to landscape photography back in 2016, there was a near instant bond. Now with camera in hand, inspiration to explore, and a call to connect with our planet's raw landscapes, I am propelled ever deeper into these places of wonder. Through these many adventures over the years I've come upon unexpected moments of breathtaking and at times overwhelming beauty. I share what I can of these moments through the lens of my camera with you.
The process of creating a photo is a deeply personal one. Each image has behind it a unique set of circumstances and emotions which have influenced the end result. Although it is yet impossible to convey the power of any moment through media, I invite you to take an unhurried moment and allow yourself to fall into a photo or two. Imagine for yourself what it might have felt like to be here in this place in time to witness the light unfold in such places. Notice the details and surroundings of the main subject, feel the wind and inhale the atmosphere; enter in through the door of your imagination.

As my passion for the outdoors increases so has my desire for protecting and preserving these treasured lands for the benefit of all those who will come in the future. I personally feel that I am greatly indebted to these wild places. I have always run to these to find rest, clarity of mind, body and soul in both times of joy, times of great sorrow or difficulty and everything in between. These majestic cathedrals have been a sanctuary to me - a place to regain my footing and reconnect with the depths of myself, being reunited with the foundational truth and mystery of our existence. Even in harsh conditions, I have found simplicity and a calm. Sit immersed in quiet solidarity under nature's tutoring and come away anew.

Influences:
Living fairly close to one of the greatest National Parks in the US, I have developed a particular affection for Rocky Mountain National Park. This park has been photographed by countless others. However, I have been most influenced from two other photographers -
Erik Stensland and Jim Lally. Erik is a world-renowned photographer who has been making images of this particular national park for over 20 years. His work and writings have been held in high esteem and admired by many. Erik has a few galleries, and his Estes Park location is one of the best I know of. It’s hard to visit and not leave feeling inspired.
Jim Lally introduced me to landscape photography in 2016. Jim's work is truly excellent. He is exceptionally creative in his photographic style as well as a dedicated craftsman. Jim has been committed to producing high resolution handmade prints for the past several years. The quality of his work is exceptional, something you should see in person in order to fully appreciate. Both Erik and Jim understand the importance of finished large prints set before the viewer's eye as the completion of a photograph. I sincerely appreciate both these men and the influence they continue to have on my work and life.

Prints:
The essence of each image's form, details, color, tones and textures can be most appreciated through physical ink and paper. A well lit photograph will always supersede anything offered by a digital screen. So, if you happen to be in the market for a piece in your home or business and find one from me that speaks to you, please consider reaching out to learn more. I hope to one day expand the abilities of this website to allow for the purchase of prints electronically, but in the meantime, I can be contacted through the email link below.
